By running for Age UK Surrey, you will be supporting our vision for every older person in Surrey to live well and make the most of later life.  There are over 220,000 people aged 65+ in Surrey, over 14,000 people living on pension credit (a measure of poverty) and 89% of those without a partner, which means they do not have a dual income.  Surrey has an ageing population - it is estimated that 17,700 people are living with dementia in the county, and the number of one-person households aged 66+ is increasing.

We deliver services that help tackle loneliness, provide impartial and confidential advice as well as ensuring people have the benefits they are entitled to, boosting income, and we deliver a growing number of specialist services and activities for people with dementia and their carers.

With pressure on health and social care, our services are needed more than ever and demand for them is increasing.
